    As the UK's lead organisation for film and the moving image, The BFI have developed a specialist course designed to help marketers shoot high quality videos on smartphones.

    Supercharge your digital marketing with a new filmmaking and storytelling short course designed to teach you the fundamentals of creating engaging and professional looking videos.

    Perhaps you’re a filmmaking novice or want to improve the videos you’re creating. Maybe you’ve been tasked with filming an interview or piece of content and would like to know the essentials. Equally, you could be looking at the feasibility of bringing some content production in-house.  

    This short course will focus on the tools, techniques and skills marketers need to create high quality video. The course will centre on smartphone shooting, however the core elements such as shot selection, lighting, editing, storyboarding and storytelling are also highly applicable to shooting on higher grade cameras and working with external agencies.

    Who should attend?

    This short course is designed for anyone looking to improve their understanding of filmmaking and storytelling for use as part of a broader marketing strategy.

    The BFI also offer a practical 2-day Filmmaking and Video Production for Marketers course, giving participants the chance to plan, shoot and edit their own footage and receive feedback from their tutor in a hands-on course.
