    • Featuring two brand new categories for 2019
    • Entries close on 16thNovember

Organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s (CIM) Travel Group, The Travel Marketing Awards are the most sought-after accolade in the travel marketing calendar. Celebrating brilliance in a wide range of travel-marketing disciplines, the awards shine a spotlight on excellence at a business and individual level.

To celebrate its 11th year, the awards will feature two new award categories for 2019, ‘Docusoap’ and ‘Brand Relaunch’. ‘Docusoap’ recognises the best travel documentary, which follows a travel or tourism organisation on their day-to day activities in line with growing public interest for the medium. Brand Relaunch aims to identify and celebrate a travel brand that has undertaken a successful makeover in 2018. There are also four free award categories this year: Agency Professional of the Year; In-house Marketer of the Year; Rising Star of Travel PR; and Tomorrow's Travel Marketing Leader.

In total, there are 40 awards available to enter this year, with winners set to be announced at an awards ceremony on 11 March 2019 in the Grand Ballroom of the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Keith Cartwright, chair of the CIM Travel Group said: “I’m delighted to announce the entries for the Travel Marketing Awards are now open. Entering the awards not only gives companies and brands the opportunity to showcase their marketing talent, but also highlights those of the marketing teams and leaders responsible for such outstanding work.”

The awards commend travel companies, agencies, teams and individuals that are transforming the landscape and possibilities of travel marketing to stand out from the crowd. Whether new or established brands, small or large organisations, The Travel Marketing Awards are open to any company that has carried out travel marketing over the eligibility period.

There are also individual awards to be won such as Rising Star of Travel PR, as well as those for teams and agencies. If entering Travel Brand of the Year, a Team, Individual or Agency category, then The Travel Marketing Awards are looking for the best work and achievements during 2018. For all other categories*, the work must have been visible to a UK audience between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018, albeit this may have been a continuation of a campaign.

An elite judging panel of esteemed marketing and travel industry professionals will evaluate each entry on their creativity, rationale, execution and results. Finalists will be announced in January 2019, before the greatest talent in the travel industry comes together for the awards ceremony in March.
