6:00 PM - London
At our latest CIM/LCF Marketing Club event, Laura Phipps, Head of Communications and Engagement at Alzheimer's Research UK will talk about the challenge the charity faces to challenge old attitudes to dementia and how a collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Society led to a year-long campaign, called 'Dementia Revolution', which delivered stunning results.
Through Dementia Revolution, the two charities aimed to build a team of more than 2,000 runners in the Virgin Money London Marathon.
Not only was this target reached but the runners’ inspirational efforts helped to raise more than £4 million for the campaign. More than 800 volunteers also took to the streets of London to cheer the Revolutionaries along the iconic course and across the finishing line.
