Presentation 1: Digital marketing - a data driven approach

“It used to be said that 50% of marketing budgets were wasted – the trick was identifying which half. Digital technologies and the use of data are helping us answer this question and inform on digital marketing decision making. They are also transforming the way businesses operate, how consumers behave and how we think about the traditional marketing concept itself.”

Owen Dale, Lecturer in Business at Wrexham Glyndwr University will provide an overview of some of the latest trends and thinking about the ever-changing digital marketing landscape.

    Presentation 2: Antony Allen

“How does data cleansing, enhancing and profiling improve marketing responses and return on investment? What are the particular implications for digital marketing?”
Antony Allen, Managing Director, Data-8 Ltd will give us an insight on what best practice is like for data capture, data handling, data hygiene and processing for marketing purposes.

    Presentation 3: Katie Mickleburgh

Organisations and private individuals invest millions in safeguarding and enhancing their reputation. Defamatory comments, data breaches and data misuse can cause irreversible damage and marketers may need to take action to preserve or restore the reputation of their client’s ‘brand’. But how can individuals actually go about removing the content from social media and online portals? What is the best practice in terms of dealing with negative comments? And how can you protect your “right to be forgotten” online?

Katie Mickleburgh, Senior Associate, Manleys Solicitors will share her experience in dealing with some of the UK’s biggest brands and well-known celebrities to restore their brand and protect their reputation following online and media campaigns.
