In business today we are constantly challenged to improve commercial performance, attract and retain the customers, engage with people as well as creatively and adapt to rapid change. With traditional resources under increasing pressure, it is vital that we find new ways to grow and achieve competitive advantage.
There is a growing amount of research and evidence to show that a specific set of social and emotional competencies referred to as Emotional Intelligence (EQ) play a key role in determining performance.
Whereas Marketeers, their managers and leaders are typically trained in functional/technical skill and knowledge (TQ), it is becoming increasingly important to success that people are able to leverage their EQ. In fact, it has been scientifically proven that EQ can account for up to 45% of job success. (Dr. M. Newman)
At this latest soft skills workshop, Nicole Soames, founder of Diadem Performance will deliver a masterclass in EQ with a focus on relationships skills:
• Introduce the concept of EQ and why it’s so important
• Explain how communication is the vehicle for being emotionally intelligent
• Understand your own and other people’s styles
• Recognise other people’s styles and preferences
• Build better relationships through valuing other people’s preferences
• Learn to flex and adapt your style to better influence others
This will be a highly interactive and high energy session, blending theory, discussions and exercises. You will gain practical, easy to use tools and techniques which you will be able to apply immediately.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to connect, share ideas and start building relationships that can enhance their performance and career during the post-event networking.
