    8:15 AM - Belfast

Join us for CIM Ireland’s first event of 2025, where we’ll explore how responsible marketing is shaping the future of our industry and how organisations are making their marketing more ethical by focusing on social impact, sustainability, inclusivity and transparency.

As consumers become more conscious of the social, ethical, and environmental impact of organisations and brands, marketers are increasingly expected to align their strategies with these values while still driving success. Responsible marketing means making ethical choices at every stage, from developing your offering to how you communicate and distribute it. It also involves creating diverse, inclusive marketing teams that reflect the audiences you’re engaging with. While sustainability is a key aspect, responsible marketing is broader: it’s about aligning your marketing with ethical values, including social responsibility, inclusivity, and transparency.

With the increasing focus on sustainability, the risk of greenwashing remains a real concern. Marketers must communicate their efforts authentically, ensuring their messages reflect a true commitment to these broader ethical principles. This event will provide insights on how to navigate these challenges, helping you communicate responsibly and build trust with your audience, all while making a meaningful impact.

This event will feature a keynote address by Alexis Eyre, a strategic communications leader and expert in responsible marketing, known for helping brands to authentically communicate their sustainability and social impact. Alexis’ keynote will set the stage for a lively panel discussion with experts from various sectors sharing diverse insights on building trust, making a positive impact, and staying true to brand values.

We’re delighted to welcome the following panel of experts:

    • Michelle Baird | Head of Marketing at Ulster Orchestra
    • Kerry Boyd | CEO Autism NI
    • Tim Monroe | CMO at Smiley Monroe Group
    • Angeline Murphy | Sustainable Living and Fashion Expert, Alumni of BBC Sewing Bee (S4) and Brand and Marketing Manager of SSE Airtricity
    • Lana Templeton | Group Head of Marketing at Murdock Builders Group

Attendees will hear diverse perspectives on how responsible marketing is being approached across industries and be inspired with fresh ideas to bring back to their teams and organisations. Whether you're already leading in responsible marketing or just beginning to explore it, this event will provide you with fresh perspectives and inspiration to take these ideas back to your workplace.
