Steph Inez Matthews

Steph Inez Matthews (she/her) is an award-winning leader, and inclusive growth consultant. Over the last 20+ years, she has built a global career portfolio across client side, media owner and agency, specialising in strategic business growth, audience insight and purpose marketing.
Today, she drives new commercial growth opportunities for her clients’ audiences - both brand clients who need to understand their real consumer audiences, and agency clients who need to find new audience growth, all powered by strategies that drive sustainable growth and social impact. Clients include Warner Bros Discovery and British Red Cross.
Prior to this, she consulted with Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 brands at Creative Equals, a social impact consultancy, delivering business and culture change transformation programmes for clients including Philips, Mars and Walgreens. She’s an established global advertising executive, having delivered brand and marcomms strategies at Virgin, and the RAC, and created commercial advertising insight programmes at Channel 4, ITV, and News Corp.
Paying it forward for the next generation, she’s been the former President and Non Executive Director for Bloom UK, and is active in mentoring programmes for Stonewall, Media Trust and BelEve. Acknowledged as a powerful writer, she made the semi-finals of Penguin’s Write Now competition and her career playbook, for young, brown, queer women is due to be published in 2026.
