Bob Sheard co-founded the FreshBritain brand design agency 25 years ago with his wife Sophie, and has helped design or redesign more than 250 brands globally, ranging from Levi’s, LVMH, Nike, New Balance and Team Sky, circling back to his beloved home county of Yorkshire with Tog 24 and Nuie Design Co.
Other brand design projects have ranged from the Indian National Congress in the world’s biggest-ever general election to Real Madrid, the world’s most successful soccer team.
Bob is also the author of The Brand New Future: How Brands Can Save the World, published in May 2025 by LID Publishing. The book introduces Bob’s Regenerative Brand concept and is a call to action to brands and consumers to change how we think, see ourselves, design, produce and consume because the Earth can’t afford conventional economics.
Aligned with the ‘How Brands Can Save The World’ concept, Bob lives to design and redesign brands and consumerism, helping figure out sustainable life on Earth.
Earlier on, as the alumnus of a local comprehensive school, Bob was a teenage market trader, selling vintage denim across Yorkshire and in London’s Camden Market. Spotted by Levi’s, they sponsored his education at University of the Arts London College of Fashion.
Before the age of 30, Bob had worked as a Creative Director at the Converse and Karrimor sports apparel companies. At the time, along with Vivienne Westwood, Phil Knight and Ralph Lauren, he was listed in a magazine’s Top 50 influencers in world fashion. He was, as he put it, “the youngest and poorest in the list.”
