Many organisations are realising that much of their published marketing content is no longer up to the job. The business, its customers and the world around them has changed. If the content hasn’t changed too, it could be damaging the organisation’s brand and reputation.
With an ocean of content published, the task of assessing its quality can be daunting. But it gets easier through the use of a content diagnostic tool.
In this session Richard Groom will show you how to assess the suitability and quality of your content – in terms of how readers and search engines alike will rate it. He’ll take you through ten assessment categories that work for both existing and new content.
This process isn’t just for copywriters, it can also be used by anyone responsible for content quality. An audit like this will set the scene for refreshing a content portfolio in order to remain relevant to readers and the organisation’s marketing strategy.
The presentation will cover:
- How to identify content to prioritise for review
- Ten criteria to use when assessing each piece of content
- Methods for stepping into the readers’ shoes when evaluating content quality
- Tips for improving content that falls short of high standards
- Ways to identify and fix problems with your content’s search engine optimisation (SEO) performance
Delegates will also receive free access to a 24-page PDF e-book that includes detailed notes and examples for each criteria, a checklist and scorecard, and more hints and tips for easy fixes for the most common problems.
Your presenter is the audit tool’s creator, Richard Groom, of Peterborough Copywriting Bureau, a Copywriter with more than 20 years’ experience who works with clients across multiple sectors. Richard is also an entertaining trainer and presenter who has delivered workshops at dozens of CIM branches over the past 15 years, always generating very positive feedback from delegates.
