One would assume that no business or brand was created to have a negative impact in the world. But setting up a new company based on modern sustainable principles is much easier than turning around a traditional corporation that has to deal with legacy issues around governance and its social and environmental impacts.
Leading brands have taken this challenge not only to comply with new regulations, but as an opportunity to be more relevant and engage with their various audiences, and create long term value to their business.
In this session Paula Oliveira will discuss how to use brand thinking to create a responsible business that will sustain in the future and last for generations to come.
Paula is a Brazilian chemical engineer turned into a British business consultant, with a strong passion for all things related to sustainability. She started her career at Abril, a leading media company in Latin America and spent 11 years at Interbrand, the world’s largest brand consultancy.
During this time she had the opportunity to work with blue-chip companies in Latin America, Europe and Asia and was a member of the Global Corporate Citizenship task force. She also did a lot of speaking and writing on how to transform business, brand and sustainability strategies into one single driving force inside companies.
Paula recently joined BrandCap, a management consultancy, as an Executive Director.
