The growing number of laws, regulations and codes affecting the marketing profession mean it's never been more important for marketers to keep up-to-date. And it's not only within national boundaries: laws being passed elsewhere in the world can have important implications.

Many new laws have come into force in the last five years. Our paper I'm not a lawyer, but...What's new in marketing law? looks at key developments in the law since 2006. The paper is an introduction to law for marketers who want to ensure their knowledge is fit for purpose. Members can login to download our paper for free. Non-members can purchase the paper from CIM Direct.

Our previous papers on marketing and the law, are No Marketer is an Island: Marketing and the Law and The Long Arm of the Law: Marketers and Legislation. For details of how the law affects marketing and the Olympics see our Ambush Marketing and the Law page.
